WHEREAS, believing that "in union there is strength" and that the efforts of many may produce results that cannot be obtained by the individual, WE, therefore, the Taxpayers of Yaphank, Long Island, New York, hereby unite to form an Association to accomplish the following purposes:
- To form a body of men and women who represent the taxpayers of this community.
- To take united action for or against any question of vital interest to the community as a whole.
- To express our feelings to any, and all, governmental agencies on all matters effecting our planning, zoning, public works and envelopment of our area.
- To make every effort to obtain for the community improved civic services.
- To make every effort to stimulate in all residents an interest in beautifying and improving the community.
- To promote interest throughout the community in school activities.
- To promote good will among the residents of the community.
- To foster good fellowship and social union among the members.
